Payment Terms & Conditions

1. Payment Terms

Payment is due within 7 calendar days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. We reserve the right to charge interest and reasonable compensation on overdue balances in line with applicable statutory provisions, including the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.

2. Ownership of Materials

All materials and goods supplied by us remain our property until full payment has been received. Where legally permitted, we reserve the right to remove any unpaid-for materials or equipment.

3. Warranty & Guarantee

We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee from the date of completion. Materials and components are subject to their respective manufacturer warranties. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, tampering, third-party interference, or unauthorised modifications.

4. Estimates & Variations

Estimates are based on the information available at the time of issue. Additional charges may apply where unforeseen conditions arise — including hidden defects, restricted access, or changes requested by the client. Variations will be discussed and agreed in writing wherever possible before the work proceeds.

5. Access & Site Conditions

You are responsible for providing safe, clear and unobstructed access to the work area during the agreed working hours. Delays or additional costs may apply where access is restricted or unsafe conditions are present.

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours before an agreed appointment may be subject to a cancellation or call-out fee. We reserve the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather, supplier delays or illness, and will give you as much notice as possible.

7. Liability

Subject to the Statutory rights paragraph above, while every effort is made to ensure safe and high-quality workmanship, we are not liable for:

• Pre-existing faults or defects in the installation
• Issues arising from work not carried out by us
• Damage to décor or structure where some disturbance is unavoidable in the course of completing electrical works, unless caused by our negligence

8. Certification & Compliance

All works are carried out in accordance with the current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and, where applicable, Part P of the Building Regulations. Relevant certification (such as an Electrical Installation Certificate or Minor Works Certificate) will be issued on completion and full payment.

9. Waste Disposal

Removal and disposal of waste materials, packaging or redundant fixtures is not included unless explicitly agreed. Waste removal can be arranged for an additional cost.

10. Insurance

We hold Public Liability Insurance with £2 million cover. Documentation can be provided on request.

11. Complaints

Any concerns or complaints should be raised in writing within 14 days of completion of works or receipt of invoice. We will make every reasonable effort to investigate and resolve the matter promptly and fairly. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have to bring a claim within longer statutory periods.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
